How to choose the right duvet

• Match the duvet to your bed. A 6x6 or 6x7 duvet should hang over the sides of the mattress.
• For cold months, heavier woolen, velvet and mink duvets feel warmest. For warmer seasons, a lighter duvet or cover alone is enough.
• A duvet cover protects your duvet and is easier to wash, so keep two covers per bed.
• Pick colours that suit the room. White feels fresh and hotel like, while deeper tones hide everyday wear.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size duvet fits a 6x6 bed?

Choose a duvet labelled 6x6 or slightly larger such as 6x7 for more overhang. Each listing shows its size.

Can I wash a duvet at home?

Smaller and lighter duvets can often be washed at home. Larger, heavier duvets may be easier to clean at a laundromat. Follow the care label.

What is the difference between a duvet and a duvet cover?

The duvet is the filled, warm layer. The cover is a removable case that protects it and changes the look of the bed.
